Can I get help for my employees?

Yes. Backstretch workers are a major focus of our mission, and many services are designed specifically for them.

What should I do in an emergency?

If a horseman or horse is in crisis, contact our office immediately. We will help determine the fastest available support.

What do I need to retire my horse?

You’ll need a Bill of Sale, a completed Retirement Intake Form, and additional documents based on your situation. Sample packets are available in the Resources section.

Where can I get healthcare services?

We partner with local medical, dental, and pediatric providers, as well as mobile clinics that visit Florida racing facilities on scheduled dates.

How do I apply for financial or emergency assistance?

Use the Financial Assistance forms in the Resource section. If urgent, contact our office directly for support.

Who qualifies for FHBPA support?

Any licensed Thoroughbred horseman in Florida—including trainers, owners, and backstretch workers—can access our programs.
